In today’s society, Christianity is under attack like never before. The persecution has started. What has been witnessed in foreign nations is now coming to America. And it all started back in the 1960’s with the attack on the institution of marriage. The devil has been attacking marriage since the Garden of Eden and these attacks have intensified. The foundation of the institution of marriage is crumbling.
It is so important to solidify this foundation from future erosion. In order to do this, it will take deliberate action. But, what should you do? How can you protect your marriage from these attacks? How can you help others you love or care about to protect their marriages? Is there a way to do this that works?
Well, my guests today are experts in this area and they are here to answer these questions and more…
I have had the blessing of interviewing Apostle Ken and Pastor Sheila Giles, of the Lincoln Bible Church, just outside of Houston, Texas, a little over a year or so ago. We discussed their ministry and their book, “Prayer & Marriage and the Leadership Roles of the Husband and Wife.”

Apostle Ken Giles began full-time ministry in 1993 as an inner-city Missions Leader in Dallas, Texas, while at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship under Dr. Tony Evans. He later served there as Assistant Executive Director of their nonprofit corporation. In 1998, he returned to his hometown of Beaumont, Texas, and served as Pastor of Outreach at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church and Executive Director of their nonprofit corporation. In the year 2000, Lincoln Bible Church was planted in the Beaumont/Port Arthur Area, but has since relocated to the Greater Houston, Texas Area. Apostle Giles has a certification in Nonprofit Management for the University of Texas, A Master of Education Administration from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Theology from Southeast Texas Theological Seminary. He is in the process of completing his dual doctorate in Christian Education and Theology from Kingsway Theological Seminary.
Pastor Sheila Giles has served in church leadership for over two decades. She has a Master of Divinity from Houston Graduate School of Theology and is in the process of completing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Texas Woman’s University.
On today’s interview, I invited them back on to discuss their, “Christian Marriage and Family Counseling and Certification” program. This is exciting! This is something that is absolutely needful in today’s society!
What brought about the need for the “Christian Marriage and Family Counseling Certification” program? Why now?
Is this local to Houston only?
You have the ability to help Christians throughout the world with this training?
Will the principles you teach from the Houston area work for Christians in Kenya, or Germany or Australia?
I understand how you could do online training, but how do you do online “certification training?”
How long does the certification training take to complete?
Can they travel to your location or can you hold centrally located training at another church facility, even in another state?
If someone completes this training, what does it allow them to do with the certification?
I know that may difficult to travel because of the Corona Virus situation. That’s why I see a lot of training moving online right now. Is that where your major effort is moving right now?
So, someone decided they want to be certified to conduct this training for their church or as part of their ministry. What do they need to do?
Give us a synopsis of what they can expect, what is expected of them and how it will all proceed?
If someone wanted more information on this, where can they go to view the information or sign up for the program?
This training is so essential to give Christian the indisputable weaponry to withstand the attacks of the devil in their marriage and from society as well. This certification training will give you the ability and the confidence to share this information with others. As Dr. Tony Evans has said and as outlined on the Lincoln Bible Church website, “When the marriage is strong, the family is strong. When the family is strong, so is the Church, the community, the city, the county, the state, the nation and the world…”
