Episode 307 – Prayer, Marriage and the Leadership Roles of Husband and Wife pt 1

Hello everyone everywhere, this is Pastor Robert Thibodeau and I want to welcome you to another dual broadcast of the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast and the Everything Church Related Podcast. That’s right folk’s another DUAL broadcast means we have something special lined up for you today.

On the line with us today, we have Bishop Ken Giles and his wife, Pastor Sheila Giles – from the Lincoln Bible Church in the Houston, Texas area.

Bishop Giles has literally decades of ministry experience behind him, including working with the Dr. Tony Evans organization while at the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship church, including serving as the Associate Executive Director of their non-profit corporation! Amen!  He served as the Outreach Pastor at the Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas, until planting his current church, Lincoln Bible Church.  He is the author of several books – and we are going to be talking about one of them in particular here today, “Prayer, Marriage and the Leadership Roles of the Husband and Wife.”

Bishop, it is a pleasure to have you on our program today!  I want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to meet with us and to discuss, not just your book, but your ministry as well.

Bishop, I always start with this question, right off the bat. Tell us, “Who is Bishop Ken Giles?”

Why this book, at this time? What was it that made you write this book?

You wrote this book in an interesting format. You broke down the leadership roles, scripturally, between the husband and wife. And you wrote the part for the men and your wife, Pastor Sheila, wrote the part for the women.  Why that format?

Why do think this book is relevant for the day and time we live in today?

In your opinion, what is it that you reveal to your readers concerning the roles of the husband and wife?

Chapter One starts off with, “Lack of Prayer Invites Sin into the Marriage.” And you go on to say that the “lack of prayer” actually is an act of disobedience. Explain that to our listeners…

I love chapter two. It says that a “lack of prayer covers up and hides sin in the marriage.” Explain that, please.

In chapter five, you explain how Eve must have a domineering spirit because she did not line up with the vision and qualities God gave to Adam. I never thought of it in that light before…but it makes sense. Explain that to our listeners…

What are the key points you want your readers to obtain from this book?

As far as the women who will read this book, what key points do you want them to obtain from reading this book?

I love the little self survey at the end. I have not had the time to fill it out and complete it, but the questions are definitely interesting. How did you come up with that concept of the self questionnaire?

How would like to see this book impact marriages today?Ok, Bishop, is your book on Amazon? How can people order a copy of your book?

I want to thank you, again, for coming on the program today. If someone had a question for you or wanted to get in touch with you, how can they do that?

TS Wright

Hello. My name is TS Wright, and I am the voice of the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast and author/TV host of the God Centered Concept.

For the past 33 years I have been involved in Christian ministry. Ranging from ministry, teaching and coaching in both public and private high schools and college, I have worked with students, athletes and adults from all walks of life. I have been involved with a host of Christian organizations included but not limited to CRU, FCA and other outreach & church affiliated ministries. Also being ordained in Christian ministry and being both a biblical and historical scholar I have focused on Discipleship, Biblical truth, prophecy & historical theology. I have also authored 4 books, a journal and a devotional series which are all now in the editing phase.

In 2003 and 2004 the Lord cast a series of visions on my life as to what would become the God Centered Concept.

In 2016, the Lord called me to start writing.

In 2019, He cast another series of visions that has led me to now.

In 2023, I was led to starting Podcasting and through divine intervention found Pastor Bob. I became a frequent guest speaker on the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast and being led by the Lord I have taken ownership of the Podcast.

I welcome all of you who are a part of the Kingdom Cross Roads community as well as everyone who is just joining our community as we continue to work to advance the Gospel and spark a Great Harvest. By expanding our message to the NOW TV Network it is our prayer that we can maintain the same level of quality messages and engaging conversations that you have been accustomed to. We thank you for your commitment to this community and we ask for your support and prayers as we strive to glorify God in all that He calls us to do.
