Jesus Second Message to the Modern Church – John Meacham

Hello everyone everywhere, this is Pastor Robert Thibodeau and I want to thank you for joining us on the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast today. We have a special guest for you today, a good friend of our ministry is back and I know you will be getting a lot of information that will bless you today. So get your note pad and pen ready, because these interviews go fast…it seems like we just get started and it’s time to end – anytime we talk with John Meacham.

John Meacham has served Christ’s Church as a Christian author, lay pastor, supply preacher, elder, workshop leader, small-group coordinator, Bible-study instructor, and Sunday-school teacher. As a part of his church work, John developed a small-group program titled AIM (An Involved Membership) and prepared a group study guide for the book “Is Your Church Heavenly? A Question from Christ for Every Christian” (published in 2008)

John was born on 1951 in Hickory, NC. He grew up the son of faithful Presbyterian parents. However, despite loving instruction and example from his parents and the Presbyterian Church and until his conversion at age 31, he thought the story of Jesus was a lie. Two days after his birthday in 1982, he learned the truth of Christ and has been proclaiming it ever since.

JohnMeacham spent eight days at the Sea of Galilee in 2005. During this time, he received a new revelation from Christ that involved messages that spoke of the state of the seven churches in today’s modern time. His previously released work, ‘Is Your Church Heavenly?’ details both his experience and the messages he received, and I recommend that book to you.

Today, we are going to continue a discussion we started last time about “The Heavenly Church” and it involves Jesus Messages to the churches today. We covered message one in episodes 411 and 412. So If you missed those episodes, go back and catch up!  We don’t have the time today to recover the information in those episodes – so I encourage you to go back and listen to those as well as what John has to share with us today!  Amen!

Help me welcome to the program, John Meacham. John, thank you for taking the time to join us today!

Ok, just for those that did not hear our prior interviews, tell us in your own words, other than that brief bio I just read, “Who is John Meacham?”

Now, last time, we discussed the “first message” to the modern day church that the Lord had given you.  Can you briefly summarize what we talked about last time concerning that “first message?”

Now, let’s jump right into the subject for today: “The Second Message” – tell us about this…

Satan’s influence in the world can be seen every night on the evening news. Both locally, nationally and globally. On the surface, it would appear he is winning. But true Christians understand the uptick in all of the evil we see now is because the devil knows his time is short. All the things we see happening can be found in the Bible, telling us the soon return of Jesus is about to happen.  How can we, as Christians counter these attacks by the devil in our government and society as a whole?

Jesus prepares us for Heaven, not for earth.

Being Faithful to Jesus means a lot more than just going to church on Sunday morning, doesn’t it?

To be truthful, I’m totally disgusted by most church services I attend anymore. I see ritualistic mannerisms rather than Holy Spirit led services. I see the focus on “clean messages” rather than exposing and calling out sin. I see the “go along to get along” clan rather than militants and rebels to society that call out the evil happening all around us. I’m almost at the point that I really do not want to go to a “formalized gathering called a church” anymore. It really turns my stomach sometimes. Sorry about the rant – but that’s how I feel…

John, what are the “true spiritual riches” talked about in the Bible?  Living with Jesus forever.
