Growing Your Business With A Virtual Assistant – Brooke Strauss-Dobi pt 1

If you have a business, even a part time business, you know how important it is to maintain a social media presence. Add to that the need to respond to email inquiries. Plus coming up with content for email marketing, possible sales funnels (if you use them). Add in coming up with content to post to all of the social media sites you are part of. It can get to be overwhelming fairly quickly.

You know you need to do these things. You know what it is you want to say. But it seems like every time you somewhat “schedule” the time to dive deep into these areas, something always seems to get in the way.

Well, that is where my guest today can help out. She specializes in helping business folks to remain focused on running the business, while she and her team will handle all of the “little details” that can sometimes elude you.

Brooke Strauss-Dobi is a Virtual Assistant at ButtaflySocial.com  She and her team help busy businesses with their social media management, Facebook Ads, Funnel Management, Email Marketing, building Word Press websites, and will even help you with content writing if you need it. She prides herself on her excellent customer service record and she knows what is needed for you to succeed.

She started off as a tech VA and branched out into website design, branding, greeting cards, T-shirt design and even sang in bands.

When Brooke is not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, and watching NetFix with her husband.

Help me welcome to the program, Brooke Strauss-Dobi. Brooke, thank you for taking the time to join us today.

The first question I always ask is this. Other than that short bio I just read, tell us in your own words, “Who is Brooke Strauss-Dobi?”

How did you get started in the Virtual Assistant field?

What made you decide to launch off into your own company?

There are a variety of things that your company handles. Email management, calendar management, scheduling, just to name a few. What is the most “traditional” services you offer?

How can your services help, let’s say, pastors or ministries?

I know we have a lot of business owners listening in. Many of them are full time at a “regular job” but are launching side businesses, mainly online. What kinds of services would you recommend they consider to help get back some of their time into their already busy schedules?

When you are first contacted by a potential client, you schedule a brief phone call to identify their needs, etc. What type of information should someone be prepared to share with you on that phone call?  So they would not waste your time nor their time in “Oh, I haven’t thought of that and I have to get back to you” type of situation?

Content writing. That is one of the services you offer. What does that entail? Is that like “ghost writing” for books, or simply social media posts…?

If someone wanted to hire your team to handle routine customer service issues, etc., what type of services would that entail?  You would not be offering “tech support” type services, correct?

What kind of business model would make the perfect candidate for your services?

That is such a multi-faceted operation, correct?

What about speakers? How do you help them? How do you help people in branding their business?

Folks, I don’t know about you, but Brooke has opened my eyes to an entirely new way to possibly getting a valuable resource back into our life. It’s called TIME. Routine tasks that she and her team can help you out with. Allowing you to focus on other matters. Like growing your business. Amen!

I recommend you get in touch with Brooke over at Buttaflysocial.com and see if they can help you out. The information is free but the possibilities are priceless.

About your host

Profile picture for Robert Thibodeau

Robert Thibodeau

I am a 12 year Army veteran as both enlisted and as a commissioned Cavalry Officer.
I am now a retired law enforcement supervisor...

I had my own business for seven years before I entered law enforcement.

As a cop, I was injured on the job on May 12, 2007 and after several surgeries over a couple of years, forced to retire in 2011.

As I was looking down the road to “what am I going to do next?” I started what is now known as a podcast (I had no clue at the time).

Within six months of starting (what I called) “My online radio program” I was offered an opportunity to be on nationwide AM radio. I learned A LOT in one year of doing that!

I then started the online Christian radio platform "Evangelism Radio" in the fall of 2010. It has had listeners in 160+ nations and all 50 states. We host 50+ Christian broadcasters on a weekly basis. We have been operating 24/7 for almost 14 years now. We have been rated #1 in the world by Shoutcast. com on several occasions in our genre. We recently transferred ownership of Evangelism Radio to another ministry so I could concentrate full time on podcasting, preaching and writing.

In 2018, I started the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast to conduct interviews with Christian influencers from all walks of life and to play their interviews on the radio station. (The KCR Podcast has its own time slot on Evangelism Radio)!
We now have over 1600 episodes and almost 1100 interviews (in just over 6 years).

Looking out at the future of online Christian media, I noticed there was no viable platforms that catered only to the Christian podcast market.

In 2023, we launched a networking platform called, "FaithCasters" which connects "Great Christian podcasters with Great Christian Guests!" This helps to promote the work you do through podcast interviews! Check it out at https://FaithCaster.org

We recently launched "FaithCaster Academy" which serves as a training hub for ALL of our trainings (podcast training / speaker training / interview training, etc.). Members receive access to ALL of our training programs for one low, monthly membership fee. Members also receive FREE access to ALL of the LIVE trainings I conduct (1 or 2 per month) - while non-members have to pay to access the live trainings.

Between my podcast training program, conducting podcast interviews, appearing on other podcasts as guests, speaking at conferences (in person and virtually) and the podcast networking platform, I guess you could say “I’m all in” when it comes to podcasting and online media!

My total focus is to do all we can to assist you to “Get The Word Out” about your mission, services, products, ministry, books, business, etc.
