Marijuana Deception – Dr. Gordon Klingenshmitt pt 1
In today’s rampant, politically correct, liberal culture that accepts anything and everything, there is one exception. Christianity.
If you want to marry your cat, that’s ok. If you want to pretend you’re a girl when you’re not, that’s ok. If you want to participate in a gay pride parade in your skivvy’s in front of kindergarten kids, that’s ok. If you want to teach first graders how to put a condom on a banana so they know how to do it, it’s ok.
But, if you want to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ; if you want to publicly proclaim there is only One Name under Heaven by which men can be saved; if you want to pray publicly and end your prayer, “In Jesus Name” – well, you can’t do that! Somebody might be offended!
My guest today is former Navy Chaplain Gordon Klingenshmitt. If that name is not familiar to you, his case just might be. He is the Navy Chaplain who dared to “pray in Jesus Name.” When rebuked by his superiors, he volunteered to be court martialed. And was. But the public outcry was so great, Congress actually intervened and had the Navy’s charges against him thrown out!
Eventually, he was honorably discharged, but just short of earning his pension. But Chap’s (as he’s called” considers it well worth it. He was able to overturn the Navy’s unlawful order that would not allow Christian chaplain’s to pray in Jesus Name. Something that had been allowed, legally, since the 1800’s.
Today, “Chap’s” is a former Colorado State Representative. He is the national TV host of PIJN News (that is Pray in Jesus Name News) on the NRB network which airs in 54 million homes daily. He is a part time adjunct faculty at Colorado Christian University. He is an ordained Pentecostal minister and earned his PhD in Theology from Regent University.
But we are not hear today to talk about his case. It is an impressive case for taking a stand for Jesus…and you can read all about it on his website, www.prayinjesusname.org which I’ll put in the show notes.
Today, we are going to talk about an epidemic that is undercutting this society even further. Ignoring the past and pushing ahead with their liberal policies, Democrats are trying to destroy this nation from within. We have seen this epidemic spread, state by state. Now it is being taken up by the liberal Democrats in the House of Representatives. It is being pushed into neighborhoods all around where you are at. And they do not want you to say anything about it. They do not want you to tell others what they should or should not be doing.
What is it they are trying to push on you? The legalization of marijuana. Pot.
The liberals and their media partners are pushing the narrative that pot is not a gateway drug and that it really has not proven side effects. Well, to discuss this today is Dr. Gordon “Chaps” Klingershmitt. Help me welcome to the program, former Navy Chaplain, Dr. Chap’s!
Dr., thank you for agreeing to come on the program today. I’ve been looking forward to this conversation.
First, let’s go ahead and get the elephant out of the room, so to speak. Other than that short intro I just gave, tell us in your own words a summary of what happened in the Navy and then we will jump into this looming subject on marijuana.
Now, this House Bill passed out of committee and to the House floor. What is it’s status right now?
What was the main purpose in passing this permissive law? Wasn’t it to raise tax revenue?
Do you see this bill passing anytime soon?
A claim by those proposing legalizing marijuana is because enforcement activities unfairly target minorities. Have you heard this argument?
The liberals claim there is no scientific evidence that marijuana is as bad as what we have been told. Some actually claim it has health benefits. I know the popularity of CBD oils and everything has probably pushed this agenda forward as well. What have you learned about the long term use of marijuana?
