Master Your Talk – Brenden Kumarasamy pt 1

Master Your Talk

Brenden Kumarasamy pt 1

Story telling is an art that everyone needs to master, but few do. Everyone has a story to tell. Think about it. At work, you tell stories to make a point. At home, you tell stories to make a point. At church, your pastor tells stories to make a point. Jesus told stories to make a point.

But, few people master the art of story telling. Now, you can take great forward strides, because my guest today helps people to do just that.

Many people struggle with the idea of speaking from a stage or on video. They worry about how they will look, how they will sound, what can they talk about?

Brenden Kumarasamy is the founder of "Master Talk," a YouTube series dedicated to the art of public speaking. Brenden believes anyone can become confident public speakers and storytellers. From students to CEO’s Brenden teaches you how to master your speeches, presentations and solicitations.

Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Brenden Kumarasamy?

How did you come up with the idea for “MasterTalk?”

A lot of people are trying or contemplating becoming public speakers. It could be for a career move or another way to grow their marketing potential, etc. What is the biggest challenge that most people will have in public speaking?

Why do so many people struggle with public speaking?

What are some ways we can make a great first impression when taking the stage for a presentation?

Is delivery or content more important in our presentations?

How can we identify that one key idea that will spark action on the part of our listeners?

How can we help our audience identify with their needs? Maybe needs which they may not even be aware of, and use that to communicate our needs in the same process?

Can you explain your phrase: “Prioritize to maximize?”

One part that I especially took away from one of your videos was about the “endless gaze.” I was good at the pauses, etc. But I had never considered the “endless gaze.” That is awesome. Tell us how that can be used effectively in a speaking presentation?

In several of your videos, you talk about the “random word exercise.” Can you explain how that works and give us an example?

What if you are speaking on a topic that really is not that interesting? How can you make a memorable talk on something that could be perceived as boring?

Profile picture for TS Wright

TS Wright

Hello. My name is TS Wright, and I am the voice of the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast and author/TV host of the God Centered Concept.

For the past 33 years I have been involved in Christian ministry. Ranging from ministry, teaching and coaching in both public and private high schools and college, I have worked with students, athletes and adults from all walks of life. I have been involved with a host of Christian organizations included but not limited to CRU, FCA and other outreach & church affiliated ministries. Also being ordained in Christian ministry and being both a biblical and historical scholar I have focused on Discipleship, Biblical truth, prophecy & historical theology. I have also authored 4 books, a journal and a devotional series which are all now in the editing phase.

In 2003 and 2004 the Lord cast a series of visions on my life as to what would become the God Centered Concept.

In 2016, the Lord called me to start writing.

In 2019, He cast another series of visions that has led me to now.

In 2023, I was led to starting Podcasting and through divine intervention found Pastor Bob. I became a frequent guest speaker on the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast and being led by the Lord I have taken ownership of the Podcast.

I welcome all of you who are a part of the Kingdom Cross Roads community as well as everyone who is just joining our community as we continue to work to advance the Gospel and spark a Great Harvest. By expanding our message to the NOW TV Network it is our prayer that we can maintain the same level of quality messages and engaging conversations that you have been accustomed to. We thank you for your commitment to this community and we ask for your support and prayers as we strive to glorify God in all that He calls us to do.
