Senior Chief Petty Officer for Seal Team 6, author of the book MOB VI: A Seal Team Six Operator's Battles in the Fight for Good over Evil, where MOB VI is the official designation for Seal Team 6.

Senior Chief Sheffield has completed several hundreds of combat operations and enemy engagements in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia. He is a recipient of the Silver Star, 6 Bronze Stars with valor for actions in combat, a purple heart, and a host of other medals and commendations.

First question, other than that short information I just shared, tell us in your own words, “Who is Justin Sheffield?”

Now, when you joined the Navy, you joined wanting to become a SEAL. But it was not just a goal to become a SEAL, you wanted to become part of SEAL TEAM 6, correct? Why?

Give us some brief examples of the BUD’s physical and mental tests they put your through that even the most physically fit men find it difficult to conquer…

In your book, you explain that once you had a couple of deployments under your belt, you applied for SEAL Team 6. How tough was it to be selected and then what was the evaluation and qualification like to be considered for Seal Team 6?

When you talk to someone and they say something like, “I think I’d like to be a SEAL” – what advice do you give them?

Your brother was a Navy Seal as well, correct? When he said he was going to do it, what advice did you give him?
