Caleb Woods is CEO of RoleModel Software & promotes continuous improvement while cultivating a collaborative work environment with Christian values.

Caleb grew up in Michigan and started working in a financial consulting firm while still in high school…praise God! While there, he progressed so fast he was soon began customizing CMS plugins and even writing some JavaScript himself. Amen!

He pursued a college degree in Computer Information and Technology through an accelerated program as part of CollegePlus. They were so impressed with his abilities, they offered him a position with their company.

Fast forward a bit and CollegePlus needed help from a software development company and, in the Lord’s plan and timing, Caleb was offered a position with this company, called RoleModel.

He continued to take on more and more leadership roles as was quickly promoted to Chief Technology Officer.

Then, just a short time ago, Caleb was promoted by the business founder to role of Chief Executive Officer for RoleModel, a Christian founded custom software company in Holly Springs, NC.

Caleb says the purpose of RoleModel is to “glorify God by applying their craft to serve business innovators and collegues.” RoleModel is now 20 years old and is a world-class, collaborative software development team with over $5 million of projected revenue and over 30 employees that are all dedicated to delivering the highest quality, custom web and mobile software solutions while cultivating a work environment where community, family, learning and mentoring flourish.

You are a Christian and you stand for your Christian values. Is that one of the things that attracted you to working with RoleModel?

RoleModel Software Company uses the gifts and talents to honor God first and then you seek to serve your clients and bring them value. That is a tremendous statement! As a business to business company, is your faith reflected in how you serve your clients?

RoleModel has three core values: Character, Collaboration and Craftsmanship. Can you go over those three core values and explain to us how that has been implemented in your business and how it affects all that you do?

If someone listening to us right now is either just starting out with a software company or maybe they are aspiring to work with one, what advice can you give them that you wish someone would have shared with you?

In this time of COVID and of shutdowns, etc., how has this affected your business?

What drives you every day? What gives you that, “I need to get moving” mentality?

Where do you see RoleModel Software, say in ten years?

Is building custom software a wise investment? Either for investors or for people working in the industry?
