I’ve been blessed with being able to interview many influential people on this podcast. I’ve interviewed several people over the years that you may have seen on TV or heard on radio or seen speak at conferences, etc. It is not often that I am able to interview someone who, not only loves the Lord, but shares my passion of relating things to military service. After all, we are in the “Army of the Lord” and my training in tactics and military strategies are things I relate to all of the time. Often to the chagrin of my family as somebody will mention something and I’ll respond with, “That’s a Cavalry tactic to do “such and such.” Anyway, my guest today is just such a person. He is well known, especially for those born in the late 1990’s and it is my privilege to introduce to you, “Barney the Dinosaur!” Ok, Ok, even the Apostle Paul said “Bear with me in my folly…” My guest today has been the voice of Barney, though. Among many others, Chuck-E-Cheese as well as Barney. He even had multiple voice overs in the smash hit, “DragonBall Z!”  He has also been the voice over artist for celebrities such as Martha Stewart, Chuck Swindoll and others. But, most importantly, he has spent the last 30 years in various aspects of ministry, serving the Most High God and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Duncan Brannan is also the author of a magnificent book, “The Soldier Code: Ancient Warrior Wisdom For Modern Day Christian Soldiers.”  This book, which, like I started with, relates the Spiritual similarities of war with the natural. Understanding this relationship will make you a far better soldier in the “Army of the Lord.” First question I always start with is this. Other than that brief introduction I just gave, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Duncan Brannon?” I have to ask… If I have performed my calculations correctly, were you in the ministry while performing as “Barney” and “Chuck E. Cheese?” So “Barney” was a Christian!  Praise God! What initially got you interested in voice overs or voice acting? But how did this background prepare you for ministry and what you are doing now? But, let’s talk about your book, “The Soldier Code: Ancient Warrior Wisdom For Modern Day Christian Soldiers.”    I read how you first started down this path. I find interesting to hear the background and how just one nudge from the Lord to do something can have huge Spiritual benefits later. Share with our listeners how this book project first had it’s beginnings… Folks, this is a definite book to add to your reading list. I can’t recommend this any more highly than to say, you need to buy two or three copies. Sow them. Buy one for your pastor, too. I know your pastor will be blessed by it.
