Heartfelt Meditations – Michaela Cox pt 1

Heartfelt Meditations

Michaela Cox pt 1

Imagine, if you will, you are recently divorced and wondering how your life will proceed. Then, you meet the love of your life. Marriage, children, life is good. Until, unexpectedly spouse dies. Now, your alone again, but responsible for the upbringing of two children. Oh, and did I fail to mention, you have a life-long disability with blindness? And now, you are a single mother of two?

How do you navigate these unchartered waters, on your own, on a trip you were not prepared to take alone?

This is the background for my special guest today, Michaela Cox. Michaela is a six time author with a story to share that includes, what she calls her “38 triple D” going from much tribulation to learning how to thrive in all things in life. Praise God! She was born in Texas but lives in Louisiana (my old stomping grounds…)…

Help me welcome to the program, Michaela Cox! Michaela, thank you for joining us today!

First question, other than that brief information I just shared, tell us in your own words, “Who is Michaela Cox?”

Let’s start with the disability. You were born blind? Is that correct?

Tell us about your background. You’re from the Houston, Texas area?

How did you end up in Louisiana?

How long ago did you lose your husband?

What were some of the immediate issues that you were faced with? How did you deal with them?

How old were your children when this happened?

Were you already an author and writer before all of this happened?

You have authored six books. I believe your first book was “Heartfelt Meditations,” correct? And this was a book of poetry that was inspired by Scripture. Why did you write this book?

Let’s move into your book, “Scripture, Spirituality and Culture: Seeking the Place of Our Faith and Beliefs in Today’s Culture.”   What was the inspiration behind this book?

And then we have your book, “Before the Clock Strikes Midnight: A Collection of Truthful and Wise Words for the Journey Ahead.”  You wrote this book as a way to pass some pearls of wisdom on to your children as they begin to travel their path in life, correct?

Is this written to children, young adults or mothers?

I want to touch on this book. It seemed, at first, a little different than I was expecting. Your book, “Living the Beach Life: Reflections and Lessons for Life’s Journey Learned in the Waves of the Ocean of Life.” This book is not just about kicking back on the beach drinking margarita’s, right?

Folks, you have heard, really just a snippet of the things Michaela Cox shares in her books. I wanted to try and give you an overview of all she has to offer. She has accomplished a lot, using her talents as a writer, taking care of her boys and, at the same time, encouraging and inspiring others along the way with her books and writing.

I want to encourage you to order one or more of her books. The links are down below in the show notes. In fact, they are very affordable, I would recommend you buy at least two or three. If you have or a part of a book club, these books would be a great addition for your reading material. If you are a mom, especially a single mom – these are basically a must read.

About the Podcast

Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast
Awakening the Church for the Great Harvest one message at a time
Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast is a Bible-centered program devoted to helping believers understand Scripture, discern the times, and faithfully navigate the spiritual, historical, and prophetic crossroads confronting the Church and the world.

Hosted by TS Wright (an author, biblical scholar, and Apostolic and Prophetic Teacher) each episode explores biblical theology, church history, prophecy, apologetics, Israel, world events, visions, dreams, and the unfolding purposes of God. By connecting the ancient truths of Scripture with the challenges of the present age, Kingdom Cross Roads offers thoughtful teaching and meaningful conversations designed to strengthen faith, sharpen spiritual discernment, and deepen understanding of the Kingdom of God.

The podcast examines the teachings and declarations of Jesus Christ, the messages to the seven churches in Revelation, the historical development of Christianity, the prophetic significance of nations and empires, and the spiritual condition of the modern Church. Episodes also explore influential biblical figures, overlooked historical events, ancient Jewish and Christian writings, and the remarkable ways in which Scripture, history, and prophecy intersect.

Kingdom Cross Roads is for listeners who desire more than surface-level inspiration. It is for those seeking serious biblical instruction, reliable historical context, prophetic insight, and a clearer understanding of where the Church has been, where it stands today, and where it may be headed.

At every crossroads, truth matters. Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast calls believers to search the Scriptures, discern the hour, remain faithful to Jesus Christ, advance the Kingdom of God, and prepare for what lies ahead.

"Now go forth in total surrender to the ONE who owns and reigns over all of creation and let the Great Harvest, begin!"

TS Wright

Hello. My name is TS Wright, and I am the voice of the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast and author/TV host of the God Centered Concept.

For the past 33 years I have been involved in Christian ministry. Ranging from ministry, teaching and coaching in both public and private high schools and college, I have worked with students, athletes and adults from all walks of life. I have been involved with a host of Christian organizations included but not limited to CRU, FCA and other outreach & church affiliated ministries. Also being ordained in Christian ministry and being both a biblical and historical scholar I have focused on Discipleship, Biblical truth, prophecy & historical theology. I have also authored 4 books, a journal and a devotional series which are all now in the editing phase.

In 2003 and 2004 the Lord cast a series of visions on my life as to what would become the God Centered Concept.

In 2016, the Lord called me to start writing.

In 2019, He cast another series of visions that has led me to now.

In 2023, I was led to starting Podcasting and through divine intervention found Pastor Bob. I became a frequent guest speaker on the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast and being led by the Lord I have taken ownership of the Podcast.

I welcome all of you who are a part of the Kingdom Cross Roads community as well as everyone who is just joining our community as we continue to work to advance the Gospel and spark a Great Harvest. By expanding our message to the NOW TV Network it is our prayer that we can maintain the same level of quality messages and engaging conversations that you have been accustomed to. We thank you for your commitment to this community and we ask for your support and prayers as we strive to glorify God in all that He calls us to do.
